I work and teach at Inst. for lærerutdanning og pedagogikk (ILP) at UiT Norges Arktiske Universitet (Tromsø/Alta campus). Since my employment at ILP, I have been mainly teaching English grammar/phonetics, various topics within English didactics including theories in second language acquisition, a history of foreign language teaching, and teaching methodology. Prior to my employment at ILP, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CASTL (Center for Advanced Study in Linguistics) at UiT (10.2005 – 5.2010). I also have a doctoral degree in Linguistics from University of Delaware, USA and has a certificate to teach English as a second/foreign language.
As my childhood dream used to be an English teacher, I enjoy working with student teachers at ILP and sharing my knowledge and expertise in the structure of English and theories within second language acquisition and language pedagogy.
